The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to PROSPECT FOR NEW CLIENTS BY NETWORKING [ARCHITECTS], COLD CALLING, and ADVERTISING OR OTHER MEANS OF GENERATING INTEREST FROM POTENTIAL CLIENTS.

Job Role

The main duties of the Business Development Manager can be summarized as follows:

  • Building relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients [Architects, Builders]. They also cultivate partnerships and strategic alliances.
  • Generating leads: BDMs generate leads through cold-calling, networking with Architect, Builders, Corporates etc.
  • Identifying opportunities: BDMs research new market opportunities and trends, and identify emerging threats. 
  • Developing strategies: BDMs develop and execute business growth strategies, and set long-term goals. 

Skill Set

  • Strong communication skills, and should be able to write and communicate clearly, and listen to potential clients
  • Project management skills
